[CNA] OELMEK calls on the Ministry of Education to implement its recommendations on violence, safety and health issues in schools

The Pancyprian Conference of General Delegates of the OELMEK (PSGA), considers the issues of "Delinquent Behaviour" and "Safety and Health" within school premises as very serious and calls on the Ministry of Education to proceed with the implementation of the Organization's recommendations for a safe and healthy school environment that will promote mutual respect, solidarity, social and emotional skills.

In a statement, the PGA of OELMEK states, for the umpteenth time, the need to take measures to prevent and address violence and delinquency in school premises.

Taking measures, it is noted, becomes more necessary than ever, since experts both in Cyprus and abroad point out the possibility of an increase in the phenomena of violence and delinquency in schools as a result of the consequences of the pandemic in education, given that mental
