The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday 2,226 new cases, with a positive rate of 2.33%.
According to a statement, the Ministry said that no patient deaths have been recorded today, with COVID-19 as the final cause of death, and therefore the total number of deaths remains 689.
The new cases of COVID-19 were detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid tests, bringing the total number of cases to 233,082.
As noted by the Ministry of Health, of the 248 patients with COVID-19, 92 are hospitalized in serious condition, and 73.39% of those hospitalized have no history of vaccination.
