It is regrettable that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres maintains equal distances in his reports on his Good Offices Mission and the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), Government Spokesman Marios Pelicanos told CNA.
Asked to comment on the content of the Secretary-General's reports, Pelecanos said that "we see that in the reports equal distances are kept, possibly in an attempt by the Secretary-General to keep the window open so that the effort to resume the dialogue can continue."
