A group of persons residing in an apartment complex in Chloraka allegedly created a new incident in the area of Chloraka by throwing stones and sticks, while they also allegedly threw stones at the police officers who rushed to the scene, who fired warning shots.
According to a spokesman for the Paphos Police Directorate, the new incident took place at around 19:00 tonight when a group of persons of Syrian origin were allegedly arguing with each other.
Police patrol cars rushed to the area, however, at the sight of the police members, those involved in the fight allegedly started throwing stones at police officers and passing vehicles, whose owners reported the malicious damage to the police.
