Ioannis Kasoulides will become the new Foreign Minister on Tuesday, President Nicos Anastasiades announced on Monday, noting that the resignation of Foreign Minister Nicos Christodoulides saddens him greatly but that he had no choice but to accept the resignation after the developments.
In a written statement issued by the Presidency, President Anastasiades said that "I am particularly saddened by the resignation of Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides, as he has been one of my close collaborators for many years."
