With the participation of a French Navy frigate, a naval cooperation exercise (PASSEX) called "CYP/FRA-01/2022" took place on Friday 21 January in the sea area south of Larnaca.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the exercise, which was foreseen in the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Programme between Cyprus and France, was planned by the Naval Command of the General Staff of the National Guard, in cooperation with the French Navy. The exercise included objects of naval interest and involved the High Seas Vessel IOANNIDIS and the French frigate FS PROVENCE.
