The legal framework, consisting of three bills, for fighting corruption was discussed at a meeting held by Justice and Public Order Minister Stefi Drakou with the President and members of the independent organisation Cyprus Integrity Forum on Friday.
A ministry statement said the CIF leadership put on the table views on the appointment of the members and powers of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority, most of which have already been adopted in the draft bill prepared by the ministry.
The Minister briefed the representatives of the Agency on the developments on the issues of the process of appointment of members and the powers granted to the Authority.
