A delegation of PEO led by General Secretary Sotiroula Charalambous, General Secretary of EKYSY Kostas Skarparis and Executive Secretary Marina Koukou met on Thursday with the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Anastasia Anthousi. According to a statement by the PIO, the meeting discussed the problems faced by low pensioners due to the reduction they received at the end of January in the special grant (small cheque), the delay in the examination of applications by the Welfare Benefits Management Service, issues related to the Minimum Guaranteed Income and the operation of the Social Welfare Services.
Regarding the issue that arose at the end of January 2022 and the withdrawal of money from the special grant for low pensioners, PEO and EKYSY stressed that a solution must be found immediately so that in no case the incomes of the low
