The implementation of the local government reform will be a legacy for future generations, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement in which the Government welcomes the passing into law by the Plenary of the House of Representatives of the three bills concerning the reform of local government, an imperative necessity for the country, it added.
Stressing that the implementation of the local government reform was one of the prerequisites for the disbursement of resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund for the implementation of the national plan "Cyprus - Tomorrow", the Presidency noted that the other reforms pending in the House of Representatives, which will contribute to the modernisation of the state, should be dealt with in the same consensual spirit.
