The Securities and Exchange Commission's oversight sector is showing great growth, according to the Commission's President, George Theocharidis, who was speaking after the debate today before the Parliamentary Committee on Finance and Budget on the Commission's budget.
Explaining, he said that while in 2011 it supervised less than 250 entities, today there is an increase of more than 200%, with the number of entities reaching 800.
The SEC's areas of supervision include investment funds, a very promising area, he said, as there is an increase of more than 11.
