The Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Aliens and Immigration Department of the Police and the Government of Vietnam, conducted a voluntary return flight last night for 258 Vietnamese nationals who were illegally residing in the Republic of Cyprus.
A statement from the Ministry of Interior said that the area of returns "is a priority and the cornerstone of the new migration policy implemented by the Ministry of Interior over the past year."
"Through bilateral agreements with third countries and the strengthening of the Republic of Cyprus' cooperation with international and European organisations such as Frontex, we are working to maximise returns.
