"We pay tribute to the victims and unite our voice with the entire civilized world that does not forget the mass genocide against the Jews", 77 years after the Holocaust and the end of the Nazi atrocities at Auschwitz-Birkenau, said the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, addressing the online lecture by Holocaust survivor Moshe Aelyon, organised on Wednesday for pupils of secondary schools, high schools and technical schools.
He then referred to the pogroms that sent six million people to concentration camps by the Nazis and their local collaborators.
He mentioned that January 27 has been established as Holocaust Memorial Day.
