The largest increase, beyond the last 13 years, was recorded by the harmonised inflation in Cyprus in January 2022, on an annual basis, according to data released on Wednesday by the Statistical Office, with the category Housing, Water, Electricity and LPG recording the largest increase of 14.1%.
Specifically, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices and thus the Harmonised Index of Inflation increased in January 2022 by 5.0%, compared to January 2021. This is the largest increase in the Index since October 2008, when it had risen by 4.8%.
