[/ATTACH][BR] OPEC's Secretary-General-elect said today, Monday, that global oil demand is expected to return to pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2022, as reported by Al Arabiya television network.
Haitam al-Gais, Kuwait's former head of OPEC, also told Al Arabiya that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its partners (OPEC+) have an important role in ensuring stability and balance in oil markets.
OPEC decided today (Monday) to appoint al-Gais to the post of Secretary General, succeeding Nigerian Mohamad Sanusi Barquido.
