[/ATTACH][BR] Germany's economy had yet to see signs of a "post-coronavirus boom", the head of the BDI industry association said on Thursday, as persistent supply chain issues weighed on the German economy.

The supply chain problems that have plagued industries in Europe's largest economy during 2021 are expected to continue into 2022, with consequences for growth, the association believes.

Supply disruptions will cost industry "more than 50 billion euros in both 2021 and 2022," BDI head Siegfried Rasurm told a press conference.
