[CNA] Further delay of reform will lead to a collapse of justice, says P. Panagi

The final completion of the reform project is now the sole responsibility of the House of Representatives, Supreme Court President Persephone Panayi said today, reiterating that any further delay would lead to the collapse of the judiciary, with dire consequences for the rule of law.

In a written statement after today's meeting at the Presidential Palace on the reform of the judiciary and the pending bills to fight corruption, with the participation of all stakeholders and the leaders and representatives of the parliamentary parties. Panagi says that the Justice Reform Bills under consideration "took their current form after long discussions among all parties involved", noting that "a key issue of consultation was the composition of the Supreme Judicial Council
