The Republic of Cyprus is sending a total of 14 large containers to the suffering Ukrainian people, with Transport Minister Yannis Karousos and Citizens' Commissioner Panagiotis Sentonas expressing their thanks to the citizens and all relevant departments and services for the collection of the largest humanitarian aid ever sent by Cyprus to a third country.
Yannis Karousos and Panagiotis Sentonas were at the port of Limassol this morning, where around noon the 14 40-foot containers will be loaded on the commercial vessel Lider Trabzon, flagged to Panama, to travel to Thessaloniki and from there, by road, to their final destination.
