On 11 January 2022, the First Task of the National Phase of the European Statistical Competition, co-organised by the Statistical Office, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Statistical Society, took place. 77 teams from all over Cyprus took part in the competition, consisting of 225 secondary school students.
The First Task included three tests: basic knowledge of statistics, use of official statistical data sources and interpretation of statistical reports.
