Guides and training programmes aimed at academic and administrative staff and the student community to ensure that people with disabilities not only integrate smoothly into the university community but also have equal opportunities throughout their studies have been developed as part of a European project implemented by Frederick University, two universities and a non-governmental organisation in Poland and Slovenia.
According to a statement from Frederick, these are educational programmes that are expected to help higher education institutions to better meet the needs of students with mobility, sensory and other disabilities, such as deaf and hearing impaired people, blind and visually impaired people, people with reduced mobility, chronically ill people, people with learning difficulties,
