On the occasion of the opening of Liberty Square to the public, Zaha Hadid Architects in a press release states that the Square has become the focal point and gathering place of the city, hosting a variety of cultural events, while providing a space for relaxation and reflection for its neighbouring communities.
"With fluid forms constructed with expertise to the highest standards, the Square is among the final completed designs by renowned architect Zaha Hadid and is an excellent example of her signature style," the press release added.
It is also stated that the team was led by ZHA Director and co-author of the project's architect Christos Passas, he is responsible for many of ZHA's landmark projects around the world.
