[CNA] Dozens of children vaccinated at the Trimiklini walk-in

There was a large turnout in the village of Trimiklini, where a walk-in vaccination centre for children and citizens was opened today. As the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Christina Giannaki, who visited the centre, said in a statement, 30 children were vaccinated by 11.00. Ms. Giannaki also said that 70.4% of the general population has completed its vaccination programme.

The vaccination centre operated from 8am to 2pm at the offices of the Commissioner of Mountainous Areas, Kostas Hambiaouris, with the participation of volunteer paediatricians from the Cyprus Paediatric Society.


According to the Director General of the Ministry of Health, by 11 am, 80 vaccines had been administered, 30 to children aged 5-11 years, 50 to children aged 12 years and above. "Most important of all is the fact that we reached our general population on
