[CNA] Djokovic's lawyers say he contracted coronavirus a month ago and was cleared to enter Australia

Novak Djokovic contracted coronavirus in December but had no symptoms and had written permission from Australia's immigration department before travelling to the country with a medical exemption from its vaccination rules, his lawyers said in documents filed in court today.

The Serbian world number one tennis player, who is in detention since his visa was cancelled on his arrival in Australia on Thursday, first tested positive on December 16 but, his lawyers say, 14 days later "has not had a fever or respiratory symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 72 hours".
