The immediate implementation of agreed measures aimed at strengthening security at the Vasilikos Energy Centre, decided a meeting of the Ports Authority held today.
A statement from the Port Authority said that "the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Ports Authority Dr. Antonis Stylianou chaired last Thursday, February 3, a meeting at the Port of Vasilikos with the participation of the Police and Fire Brigade on security issues at the Vasilikos Energy Centre".
It is added that "the meeting was held following the explicit instructions given at an enlarged meeting held on 17 January 2022 at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades and the results of the 7th Inter-Ministerial Committee on Vasilikos held at the Ministry of Energy on 26 January 2022 m
