Cyprus is ranked first in Europe among the countries that have secured funding for the creation of Research Centres of Excellence under the "Teaming for Excellence" programme, while it has recorded one of the largest absorption of funding projects from Horizon 2020, President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades said, expressing at the same time the will and determination of the Government for the exploitation of research, innovation and technology, in order to create a modern, sustainable and flexible state.
Addressing the OEB Cyprus Innovation Awards Ceremony and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIC) Cyprus Research Awards Ceremony held on Monday evening at the Strovolos Municipal Theatre, President Anastasiades stressed that "the main concern of the Government was and still is to ensure that the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIC) will continue to provide the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) with the best possible support in the field of research and innovation.
