Cyprus and the EU have signed an agreement, for the first time, governing the return of migrants and a Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be signed soon, under which all actions for the successful management of the migration issue will be underpinned.
The agreement was co-signed on Tuesday in Nicosia by Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Nouris and Deputy Director General of the EU Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs Beate Gminder.
