A Cypriot, Maria Kramvi, who is working on a project to foster peace and contact between Greek and Turkish Cypriot children, is among the finalists for this year's Commonwealth Youth Awards.
As co-founder of Rhythm of Cyprus, Maria runs an educational programme that uses music as a peace-building tool to bring children, Greek and Turkish Cypriots, together and build sustainable communities based on inclusion and understanding. Maria, who also leads the Sistema Cyprus group, also provides free music education to migrants, refugees and disadvantaged children.
