The prosecution of a private doctor, contracted with GESY and registered with OAI, has been decided by the Attorney General of the Republic, after investigating allegations that he submitted a claim for payment for services that were not provided, it was announced on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Legal Service, the Prosecutor General decided to prosecute a private health care professional, following an investigation of related complaints by the police. It appeared that on behalf of the defendant's company a combination of activities was registered in the GHS for which a claim for payment was submitted, but these were not carried out.
