The Petridio Foundation has started a collaboration with Neapolis University by funding a postgraduate study/research project of Neapolis University on "Paphos Newspapers and Magazines during the Anglo-Saxon period", according to an announcement by the Petridios Foundation and Dr. George George George, Professor of Modern History at Neapolis University of Paphos and former Cyprus Ambassador to Greece.
Referring to the cooperation, Dr. Georgis notes that it started with cultural contacts in the beginning and then after a specific action concerning the promotion of local history. Within this framework, he continues, they started a project on local newspapers, local magazines and so on that were published in Paphos during the British rule, covering the period from 1878 to 1960.
