The increase in cases of coronavirus and the number of contacts that have to remain in containment is also affecting the School Ephorates, which, so far, are meeting their needs with the available staff.

As Dinos Ellinas, President of the Pancyprian Coordinating Committee of School Boards and President of the Ephorate of Greek Schools of Limassol, told CNA, "with the chain of cases and contacts, the School Boards are also affected, which are covering their needs with substitutes."

"If this increase continues and more employees have to be absent from work, then the services offered to cleaners, attendants for children with special needs and secretarial staff will be affected," he added.
