[CNA] Climate crisis and Cyprus at the meeting between Anastasiades and Kerry in France

The climate crisis and developments in the Cyprus problem were the focus of a meeting today between President Nicos Anastasiades and President Biden's Special Envoy for Climate Change and former US Secretary of State John Kerry, shortly before the start of the "One Ocean" Summit to be held on Friday in Brest, France.

According to a written statement by Government Spokesman, Marios Pelekanos, the meeting discussed the challenges faced by all of humanity as a result of the climate crisis, as well as the contribution of Cyprus and the United States, respectively, to the green transition and greenhouse gas emission reduction process.


The President of the Republic also had the opportunity to elaborate on Cyprus' initiative related to the impact of the climate change
