The Council of Ministers approved proposals concerning the leave of permanent contract workers in education as well as dismissal and access examinations.
Speaking after Wednesday's meeting, Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Minister Prodromos Prodromou said the ministry's proposal to equate rest and sick leave for those employed on an open-ended contract with those for permanent staff in the education service was approved.
The Cabinet also approved the Ministry's proposal to amend and adjust the regulations to take into account that for this year, for the first time as the current legislation stands, access exams are separated from dismissal exams and at the same time the reform is proceeding with the implementation of the new evaluation system in the third grade of technical schools as well.
