The circumstances of last night's double fatal road accident on the Limassol - Paphos motorway were tragic, since according to information from the British Bases, the stationary vehicle in which the three young people were travelling was hit by the bus that was following.

Specifically, the 28-year-old driver of the vehicle appears to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to come to a standstill on the motorway bridge, near Paramali, and was subsequently swept away and overturned by the following bus.

The intervention of the Fire Service was needed to free the three young people, while the 24-year-old Prodromos (Makis) Themistokleous and the 26-year-old Abraham (Makis) Alexandrou were pronounced dead at the hospital where they were taken.
