[CNA] Banks in Turkey refuse to serve Russians because of Western sanctions

Newly arrived Russians in Turkey are finding it difficult to make deposits and transfers in the country's banks, which are adopting a cautious and cautious approach for fear of violating Western sanctions against Moscow.

Private banks in particular are denying requests from some customers to ensure they comply with international and domestic laws, four bankers and two Turkish officials told Reuters.

The situation is worrying Russians who have arrived in Turkey since Moscow's invasion of Ukraine more than three weeks ago, many of them with a lot of cash in hand.
