Raising the awareness of the population on disaster prevention and response issues and instilling basic rules of safety and self-protection, in order to create a society ready to contribute effectively to the reduction of risks and their consequences is a priority for the Civil Defence Force.
As stated in a statement on the occasion of the World Civil Defence Day, upgrading and strengthening the mechanisms of civil protection before, during and after the occurrence of disasters is the main concern of the Force.
In this context, it is noted that the Civil Defence Force develops and implements plans, conducts trainings, exercises and applies new methods and practices in the field of civil protection, in accordance with international and European standards.
