[CNA] Average gross monthly compensation of employees increased by 1.3% in the third quarter, year-on-year

There was an increase in average gross monthly earnings for employees in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the third quarter of 2020, according to preliminary data from the Bureau of Statistics.

Specifically, average gross monthly earnings of employees in the third quarter of 2021 are estimated at €1,934 compared to €1,909 in the third quarter of 2020, an increase of 1.3%.

On the other hand, average gross earnings corrected for seasonal variations in the third quarter of 2021 are estimated at €2,024, an increase of 0.5% compared to the second quarter of 2021.

According to preliminary data from the Statistical Office, average gross monthly earnings for men in the third quarter of 2021 are estimated at €2,074 and for women at €1,764, up from €2,045 and €1,741 in the third quarter of 2021.
