A young man aged 22 years old was arrested on Monday under a court warrant to facilitate police investigations in connection with an ongoing robbery case committed on October 22, 2021, at a kiosk in Famagusta district.
In a written statement by the Communication Office of the Police Headquarters, it is stated that "according to the evidence under investigation, around 8 o'clock in the evening of October 22, 2021, an unknown man, who was wearing a hood, entered a kiosk and at gunpoint demanded from the manager of the kiosk to give him the money in the cash register".
It is recalled that "after the manager handed over the banknotes to the perpetrator, the unknown man fled".
