[CNA] Another death from COVID-19, 2,351 new cases, 270 patients hospitalized

Another person has died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 673, the Ministry of Health said in a statement. The new cases amount to 2,351 (positivity rate: 2.46%).

The total number of cases recorded in Cyprus since the beginning of the pandemic is 223,767.

Also, as announced, 270 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 88 are in serious condition. A rate of 74.08% of hospitalized patients have no history of vaccination.

Twenty post-COVID patients, who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized intubated in serious condition due to COVID in an ICU.

As noted, a total of 95 were performed today, Saturday,740 tests for detection of the disease by the molecular method (PCR) and the
(CNA) method
