The number of registered unemployed decreased by 55.7% year-on-year in December, reaching 14,800 people at the end of 2021.
According to data from the Statistical Office, the decrease compared to December 2020 reached 18,582 persons.
The largest decrease was recorded in accommodation and food service activities (decrease of 3,947), trade (decrease of 3,839), manufacturing (decrease of 1,247), construction (decrease of 1,064), transport and storage (decrease of 946), as well as a decrease of 1,479 persons in new entrants to the labour market.
Based on data corrected for seasonal variations, which show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed in December 2021 decreased to 14,336 persons compared to 15,015 in the previous month.
