Due to the rapid increase in Omicron mutation cases in the UK, the Department of Health has announced measures for all passengers entering the Republic of Cyprus from 18 December 2021 from the UK, aged 12 years and over, who, regardless of vaccination coverage or previous infection, are required to implement a number of measures, including self-limitation, PCR testing and self-testing.

In particular, under the measures announced by the Department, until their PCR result is available, they are required to remain under self-limitation in their place of residence. In case of a positive result, they remain strictly on self-limitation and await instructions from the Infectious Disease Surveillance & Control Unit of the Ministry of Health.
