[CNA] A.K.I.D.A. calls for support for Monday's work stoppage

The Independent Movement of Teachers and Kindergarten Teachers (A.K.DI) calls on all teachers and kindergarten teachers of Primary, Pre-Primary and Special Education to support the work stoppage that will take place next Monday and stand by the PDOED, in order to improve the problematic and intolerable situation that currently prevails in schools.

In a statement today, the A.K.I.D.A. said that it considers the work stoppage "completely justified" and calls for "respect for the collective bodies and democratic procedures of the PDOED".

It said it demanded and requires healthy working conditions that aim to keep schools open and safe, noting that it called for solutions to fill vacancies, and mitigate the issues of understaffing and strain on schools,
