The workers at the Fasouri Farm are implementing their decision to hold a 24-hour strike next Wednesday, January 19, due to the fact that they have not received answers to the questions they raised since the summer in relation to the decision of the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance to give work permits to foreigners for agricultural work that has been carried out by Cypriots for decades.
According to a statement by SEGDAMELIN PEO, as part of the strike, workers will march, at 10.30am, outside the Presidential Palace, while the Council of Ministers is meeting, and "will demand a hearing and an explanation for the decisions of the Ministry of Labour that lead them to unemployment".
