[CNA] 9 ½ and 4 years imprisonment sentences imposed by the Paphos Criminal Court for drug cases

Four persons aged 38, 30, 31 and 26 who appeared before the Paphos Criminal Court today were sentenced to prison terms in connection with the detection of approximately 6.5 kilograms of cannabis in 2020. The first two were sentenced to nine and a half and four years respectively while the other two were sentenced to six and three months imprisonment respectively, suspended for three years.

According to a statement from the Communications Branch of the Police Headquarters, the above were involved in a case of unlawful possession of drugs, unlawful possession of drugs and unlawful possession with intent to supply a controlled drug
Specifically, a quantity of 6.5 kilos of cannabis was seized by police in Paphos in October 2020 while four persons aged 30, 31, 26 and 37 were arrested to facilitate interrogations.
