A 64-year-old man was detained by court order for eight days today for the purpose of investigating a case of illegal practice of medicine, illegal circulation of pharmaceutical products and other offences.
According to the Communications Branch of the Police Headquarters, the 64-year-old suspect was arrested yesterday on a court warrant by members of the Police, in the context of an investigation into information indicating that a person was allegedly practicing the medical profession without holding a relevant licence and was in possession of pharmaceutical products, which appear to be unlicensed in the Republic of Cyprus.
Members of the CID Headquarters, who conducted a search yesterday, based on a court warrant, at the 64-year-old's home and premises, found a large number of pharmaceutical preparations and documents, BR\]
