Police today arrested a 55-year-old Paphos resident to facilitate investigations into a new investigated case of child pornography.
According to a statement by the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, the investigation of the case began after information received through Europol, according to which a particular internet user had uploaded through his account, in an electronic data storage service, five files of images of sexual abuse of a child.
Investigations by the Cybercrime Unit found that the suspect account belonged to the 55-year-old.
