The cancellations of events, weddings and christenings for the coming weeks continue and so far 50% of events have been cancelled with the Cyprus Association of Event Professionals asking for financial support from the government.
In a statement to CNA, Constantinos Mosaikos, president of the Pancyprian Association of Event Professionals (PA.SY.EP.EK) said that their request for a 30-day extension period, before the activation of the latest decree, decided by the Ministry of Health and after the negative response of the Minister of Health, the cancellations of events, weddings and baptisms for the coming weeks continue. So far, he said, 50% of events have been cancelled.
