A 40-year-old man, a national of a European country, was found dead on Monday morning in the bedroom of a house he was staying in Astromeritis after a fire in the accommodation.
The causes of the 40-year-old's death will be examined during the autopsy to be carried out, a spokesman for the police press office told CNA.
According to the police, at around 05:45, information was received about a fire in a vacant shelter belonging to a construction company in Astromeritis. Members of the police station found that the fire had been extinguished before the arrival of the authorities by the owner, with a fire extinguisher.
