One hundred and seventy checks were carried out in the Paphos district on the main road network and the secondary road network and according to the Paphos Police Director Nikos Tsapi, 38 complaints were found.
Mr. Tsapis said that 13 complaints were related to driving under the influence of alcohol and 2 for driving under the influence of drugs. The remaining complaints were for other traffic code violations.
He said that the campaigns would continue in the coming days, both in Paphos city and district and in the Polis Chrysochous district. According to Mr. Tsapi, particular attention is paid to alcohol testing, which is one of the main causes of serious and fatal accidents, as well as drug testing.
