[CNA] 36 complaints for violation of COVID measures after 2.369 checks

A total of 19 complaints from citizens and 17 complaints from businesses were made in the last 24 hours, from 06.00 on Saturday until 06.00 on Sunday, for violation of COVID measures, after 2.369 conducted nationwide. Of these, 1,357 involved safepass checks.

According to a police statement, as far as citizens are concerned, the majority of complaints concerned the non-use of a protective mask.

At the establishments, most of the complaints concerned managers and employees of establishments who did not have a valid safepass in their possession, there were overcrowded customers inside the establishments, as well as patrons dancing.

In Larnaca province a notice of payment of a sum of money, amounting to €8.000 was issued to the manager of a music and dance club after he allowed overcrowded customers to enter the premises, While at the
