[CNA] 35-year-old man in custody for theft case in Paphos

A 35-year-old man was taken into custody for a theft case in Paphos District, to facilitate interrogations.


According to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, on 22.11.21 it was reported to the police by an 81-year-old man who lives in a village in Pafos District that an unknown person on the same day entered the yard of their house and stole two water mixers.

After further investigations by members of the Paphos Police Directorate, evidence was found against a 35 year old person against whom an arrest warrant was issued and he was wanted.


Yesterday, however, according to Mr Ioannou, it was possible to locate and arrest the 35-year-old.

The 35-year-old was taken to the Paphos police station and interrogated. A search of his residence followed but no stolen goods were found.
