The court, which met at the Paphos General Hospital, issued a detention order for a period of seven days against the 29-year-old man who was arrested in connection with 17 burglaries of community councils in the Limassol district.
The 29-year-old was arrested the day before yesterday in Paphos, when after a traffic accident in which he was involved, it was discovered that an arrest warrant was pending against him.
Since then he has been under guard at Paphos General Hospital, where he was transferred for treatment, and after yesterday's marathon procedure, the court today issued a seven-day detention order against him.
